I’m starting this segment called Soul Coverage where I will post a song where a soul artist covers a song. On her debut self-titled album, Tamia covered George Michael’s 1984 international hit ‘Careless Whisper‘. Though there are a few different versions of Tamia’s remake around the inter, her vocals are similar yet simply beautiful. She adds plenty of soul to the song as well as her own style that only Tamia can do. Listen to both versions and see the difference. I’m not asking to choose which you prefer, but I enjoy Tamia’s more. George Michael’s sound like music to an old school porno flick haha. Enjoy.
