Wow. Today was interesting. I saw my homeboy when I was at work today and we decided to go see Cheri in the hospital together. So we did. It was kinda cool seeing some people again. I’ve just doing my own thing lately, not worrying about anyway or anything. Oh yeah, I got more surprised responses about my hair. Damn, sometimes I forget how dramatic the change is. But you know, to me… it really ain’t that deep. And one more thing, I’m aware that my grammar is not always proper when I write here. Am I illiterate? No. Do I have to make sure everything I type is perfect. No. But I should! My point is most of these blog entries are not as much ‘written’ as it is my fingers typing my thoughts. PLEASE BELIEVE my brain moves just as fast as my fingers (take that in any way as you’d like, haha!) but no my thoughts do not have grammar check.
Oh yeah! As I said the other day, we did have our sexual harassment meeting at work today. It was hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing because all of the ‘examples’ sounded so familiar. I swear, people are ‘offended’ by everything and will do anything to sue someone. Come on now, grow some balls, get a sense of humor and get over yourself, goodbye. HAHA. At the end of the ‘course’ the ‘instructor’ has us fill out a questionnaire. One of the questions were “What was your favorite part of the class?” and my response was “learning everyone’s favorite ice cream flavor.” Haha he started with us having an ‘icebreaker’ activity where we introduced ourselves, how long we’ve been working and our favorite ice cream flavors. Wow. Those were the worst two hours of my day. At least I got a few laughs and free water. For real though, water should always be free.
I’ma end it there, cuz y’all know I can go on for hours talking about ice cream flavors and whatnot. I’ve taken a huge break from graphic & web design so things are moving slow (and lookin a mess). I’ve been feelin’ this track since it leaked a few months ago. The music flows well with the visuals. This track has that classic Neptunes-produced beat that I love. Everyone loved T-Pain and Lil Wayne’s Can’t Believe It video, but I much prefer this because of it’s simplicity. N.E.R.D. & Common’s tour should be incredible. Let me shut da hell up. Check it ouuuut.

actually I don’t have a middle name. It’s not that I have been trying to avoid the blogs or content (such as the Ghostface video that was suppose to be up WEEKS ago…it’s coming, eventually!) Honestly, I started editing the Ghostface clip. It’s 8 minutes long and should be up soon. I’m not even gonna say when, but eventually! Tomorrow I have a sexual harassment meeting for work (yay! end sarcasm). On Friday, I will be heading back to the bay for Zack’s birthday this time. Probably will be there til Sunday. If so, I will bring my laptop and blog from there. Still have no clue if those plans are final. Then there’s also Rathany’s birthday. I’m just tryna settle shit. But that’s how things go. Speaking of the way things go, I’ve been having crazy ass sleep patterns. For a while, I just didn’t sleep. I had a max of 2 hours of sleep, if any, and would function just fine through school and work. Now, I just sleep late…I’m tombout 8-10am and wake up around noon. That’s a problem! Seeing how it’s 3AM, my blogging now isn’t the right time, so this will end here and now. But I wanted to mention that even though you may not see or hear things, I am doing some behind-the-scenes shit to help better the website including video blogs, interviews(?) and other surprises.
Lastly, I want to congratulate my good friends Jose and Cheri on having their son Vincent yesterday! I did not get to see him yet but hopefully will get a chance to see them all tomorrow.

Because I have been listening to this album crazy lately, I figured why not feature the track-titled album as my SOTD. What I love most about Brandy is her vocal arrangement and the fact that her harmonies are always on point. What’s also interesting is that lately Brandy has been chatting online with fans via myspace and even doing some video blogging to connect with fans and update about the new music/album. I’m sure everyone is anticipating Brandy’s new album ‘Human’ because I’m very much feelin’ the new single ‘Right Here (Departed)’.

As I had announced earlier, I did get to compile a lil mixtape (mixed cd/mp3s of Aaliyah songs). It wasn’t necessarily a greatest hits compliation, more of my personal preferences and favorite collaborations, remixes and unreleased songs. The reason why I didn’t make it a greatest hits mix was because I wanted a chill/laid-back vibe to the mix, hence the whole ‘celebrating’ part. I also wanted to expose people to other songs (or a different version of a song) some may have not already heard. The mixed cd includes collaborations with Nas, Missy Elliot, Slick Rick, Timbaland, DMX, Ginuwine, Treach of Naughty By Nature, R. Kelly, and Krayzie Bone. Tracks from the mixtape are from various Aaliyah albums, soundtracks and more.

By the way, I’ve been making my rounds around the blogs this morning and I noticed many blogs have put up Aaliyah content and even updated their layouts with Aaliyah photos but ain’t none of them been celebrating as long as I have! Haha.
that I have officially been SMOKE-FREE for 13 days. That’s damn near 2 weeks. I figured by now there’s really no need to count anymore since I’m sure I won’t be smoking anymore. That shit is a bitch. Addiction ain’t cute. OH and in other shocking news….
I ATE CHICKEN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ALMOST TWO YEARS (I’ve pretty much stopped eating red meat for the past two years). Why? Because I wanted to. Wouldn’t necessarily said I was craving it (it’s been 2 fuckin years) but I wanted it. I started/stopped smoking and started/stopped eating red meat on my own because I wanted to, without the influence of anyone else. Bad habits can get crazy and uncontrollable sometimes, but I’m seeing how this goes. No clue if I will continue to eat red meat again. Probably not, but I do like chicken (^_~) Haha that’s horrible. By the way, y’all can chill with the ‘fake vegetarian’ comments, because I never claimed to or wanted to be a vegetarian.
So is that the balance. CHICKEN > CIGARETTES? Haha. We’ll see.

Yep, I’m back in Stockton. MAN! These upcoming weeks/months are gonna be chaotic. I have to find out which hotel I am staying in for my birthday in Vegas, make reservations, figure out what we’ll be doing, who’s going, how we’re all gonna get there and most important HOW I’MA MAKE IT WITH THIS MONEY. I’m selling my iPhone to my cousin Ouk so I can get enough money haha. Also, I have to take an assessment test and see when I can get into school. I have my behind-the-wheel test next week. Zack AND Rathany are doing their birthday on the same day this weekend! I don’t have an ID, which means I can’t get into a club. Shit is crazy hectic right now and I’m tryna handle everything one at a time before I fuckin blow up. And y’all know how I do that? Music, of course. But for now, I am out!
