Spring time is nearing soon. The time has changed. The weather is warmer. And driving is a BITCH with the sun in your eye. This is definitely what I’m missing in my life.

Available here for only $179.99! (That’s a sale price.)

As an avid Nylon Guys reader and fan of Pharrell (as well as The Neptunes & N*E*R*D), I knew the next issue of Nylon Guys would be fly. One of my favorite “fashion” magazines besides Complex is Nylon, because it has a different edge to it. In this interview/video, Pharrell shows his true self– silly and fly. I admire what the man does because he stays ahead of the game and no one is touching him. Check out an interview and clips of his photo shoot with Nylon Guys below.

Today, our favorite producer/rapper/singer/designer/sometimes blogger and I guess skater Pharrell showed off his new Spongebob Squarepants BAPE crocs.

That’s great and all, but what I’m more concerned with is what’s in the background.

Now typically, I’m a levis and a dress shirt/cardian type of guy but the internet is turning me onto more mature clothing. Because I don’t live a life of luxury, I can not afford half the shit which I am growing to apreciate. That won’t stop me from keeping a (fly) eye out though. For their 2009 fall line, Bottega Veneta are bringing out some especially sophisticated track jackets. I’m also loving their colors and shades. Check out MEN.Style.com for more.

I’ve seen 3sixteen clothing in a local boutique just a few years ago and it was mostly bright color t-shirts and such (would often be considered”hypbeast” clothing,) so I’m quite impressed by how much their clothing has matured. I’m feelin’ it very much so. Also diggin the jazzy background music instead of played out hip hop. Watch the video HERE.
I spent hella time, as I usually do, making a graphic/banner for this post and paint shop just shut down on me before I could save it so no photo for today. Nonetheless, the boys Pusha T & Malice from The Clipse are launching their new clothing line tomorrow at Common Wealth, a dope (and expensive to me) store in Virgina and will also be performing there I believe. The clothes look aiight to me, nothing really stands out BUT I do dig the logo though. To see a first of the winter line, you can visit here.

I was never a big fan of T.I.’s music. I couldn’t really relate and I wasn’t neccessarily impressed with music about flashy cars and shootingn ninjas. One thing I couldn’t deny was TIP’s sense of fashion. Even if I HATED dude’s music, which I definately didn’t/don’t, I would still give him props because most rappers aren’t really up with high fashion except for the the ones who’ve been in the game for some time and have grown musically and in life. Another reason I respect T.I. now is that he’s also matured in his life and music (for the most part) and I think that’s dope. Not sure if I’d call myself a T.I. “fan,” but I do appreciate dude. Check out his interview with Giant magazine during his photo shoot. Watch the video below.

As I spoke on earlier, fall is quickly approaching therefore as the seasons change so must our attire. This is a new segment I’m calling ‘Get Fly With JC’. Basically, I am posting clothing I prefer and would wear and to give people an idea of what they could and should but normally wouldn’t consider wearing. Why, you ask? Well 1) I think people can’t dress and that’s about it haha. The whole point of ‘Get Fly’ is to have a look at my preference of clothing, my PRICING range/limits and recommendation. You don’t have to agree with ANYTHING. Here is my first edition of Get Fly With JC: Fall Edition #1.

First of all if you can’t get with skinny, at least try slim or straight jeans. In a month, I will be 21 so believe that I am not/have not been wearing loose, baggy ass jeans. Levi’s are 85% of the jeans I’m rockin’ nowadays. You don’t have to choose this particular t-shirt, but pick a tee that shows your character and is available at a reasonable price would be fine. I’m not into brand name/logo tees because when you run into people wearing the same clothing it’s awkward and/or embarrassing. Vest is optional, but if you aren’t use to or don’t own one I highly suggest doing so. It adds a grown feel to the outfit. The vest can be buttoned or not, either way it still does it’s job. Fresh Supras are cool because they’re simple but you still get (good) attention/noticed. Plus, you can never go wrong with hi-tops. I’m a fitted cap type dude, so I’d throw on a KR3W hat just to maintain a youthful feel. I may be grown, but it’s important to stay relevant and fresh. That’s pretty much it for this edition of Get Fly With JC. Let me know if you like what you see or plan on switching up your style to something similar to this.
As we all know, fall is quickly approaching and we all need to get our fly fall gear on. My pick today is KR3W’s Terry Kennedy Letterman jacket. I’ve never played football nor really have a Letterman jacket (aiight, I had a Sean John one but that obviously doesn’t count) but I think this jacket is pretty dope. Obviously, it would help from the cold, if not you still look good ha! The colors are neutral so you can almost wear it with anything and what I like most is there are no flashy ass logos. That is very important to me. Click the image below to go to KarmaLoop and purchase the jacket or for more info. Personally, would you rock it?
