I could’ve sworn I’ve already posted this track as Song of the Day. Obviously not, right? Anyway, Goapele and Dwele are both amazingly talented soul stars who don’t get half the attention they deserve and have names which rhyme.

Next Thursday, Goapele will be performing at the Apple store in San Francisco for the Black Music Month: Hometown Heroes. I’m hoping I can make it. It’s a dope concept and other artists involved in different cities includes/included Dwele, Janelle Monae, B.o.B., David Anthony, Vaughn Anthony (John Legend’s brother), Talib Kweli and more. For more info, check out Apple’s Black Music Month webpage.

  1. Goapele is amazing, definitely one of my favorite Neo Soul artists. I wish I could make it out to that event. I’m gonna check out that song song ft. Dwele!

Check this, right now I’m working with Toyota and I’m spreading awareness of some thrilling new webisodes called “If Looks Could Kill”. They follow an aspiring fashion designer, Bianca, who’s involved in international espionage by night (think James Bond meets How Stella Got Her Groove Back). The interactive webisode series follows Bianca to help her unravel the mystery that has suddenly become her life. Check it out at http://www.iflookscouldkill.com

Also, throughout the series, we’re having a sweepstakes where someone can win a 2009 Toyota Camry (MSRP $40k) along with individual prizes that accompany each episode (Haute Pursuit- maaaaany iPod nanos and gift cards galore!).

I’d really love your take on the first episode—Haute Pursuit—and discuss more as the other episodes roll-out. Myself, I’m still trying to figure out who the bad guy is—the ex, the boyfriend, the boss? Or maybe it’s Nana? Lol.

Again, would love your take because bloggers like yourself definitely have a good eye about what’s cool, hot and current. I would have contacted you via email but I didn’t know which the best way to reach you was. I hope I didn’t overstep my bounds by directly contacting you.

Thanks again, look forward to your feedback.

    Best,
